The major goals of the project are to strengthen the empowerment process of socio-economic & political development of impoverished women in the coastal areas of Puthukurichy, Anjengo, Pulluvila, Valiyathura and Poonthura in an eco-feminist perspective. Awareness classes on various subjects to adolescent groups are given on regular basis. Around 30000 adolescents are strengthened by the project by training on street theatres to create awareness and sensitization on various issues faced by women such as domestic violence, violence against women and children, dowry system, issues at work places, and environment conservation and waste management, strengthening fish vending women forums through classes and economic activities are also some of the attractions of this project. Waste management awareness trainings and door to door campaign covering 15000 household in the project area was successful in terms of awareness creation and visibility of SHG federations.
