More than 2,500 families have achieved self-sufficiency through the efforts of the Trivandrum Social Service Society, marking a proud achievement. The Family Development Program, implemented by the Trivandrum Social Service Society with the help of ‘Save a Family Plan India,’ aims at the socio-economic upliftment of families. TSSS has successfully guided over 2,500 families to self-sufficiency through this project. Currently, around 500 families continue to benefit from this scheme.  

The Thiruvananthapuram Latin Archdiocese Social Service Committee celebrated Environment Day on June 5 as part of “Green Week” with the theme “Our Earth is Our Future.” The event, held within the Archdiocesan Campus, was presided over by the Archdiocesan Vicar General, Mon. Eugene H. Perera, who performed the inauguration ceremony. Archdiocesan Ministry Coordinator Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kulas, Director of the Social Service Committee Fr. Ashlin Jose also shared messages for Environment Day. Various ministry directors, including Rev. Fr. Shaju William, Rev. Fr. Richard, Rev. Fr. Jeniston, Rev. Vigil George, Rev. Fr. Bijoy, Rev. Fr. Stanlin Fernandes, and Rev. Fr. Rajesh, planted fruit tree saplings. Sisters and various ministry staff members also participated in this program.
