Child Parliament is a platform of children from 10 to 18 years. The Child Parliament teaches students democracy and citizenship skills, while giving them an official forum to voice their own concerns and solutions to local and global issues. Students learn how decisions are made and take responsibility for making some decisions themselves. Through the Child Parliament programme, students organize environmental activities and a variety of social and educational activities. It helps students learn about their rights and responsibilities as global citizens. TSSS has 81 active Child Parliament groups in the district of Trivandrum. 2000 children participate in child parliament. Children develop their knowledge in various fields of activities and understand the importance of parliamentary democracy.
