HISTORY
History of
Trivandrum Social Service Society
The Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS) was established on 7th June 1960 under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act, XII of 1955. Initially under the oversight of the Trivandrum Diocese, TSSS was dedicated to the social and economic upliftment of the poor and oppressed regardless of caste, creed or community.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Bernard Pereira’s vision laid the foundation for what would eventually become Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS). His deep-rooted commitment to social justice, community upliftment, and compassion for the marginalized sowed the seed for TSSS, guiding its mission to serve those in need.
The organization flourished under the patronage of many visionaries who succeeded the Founder Father, building on principles of empowerment, inclusivity and sustainable development and becoming a catalyst for positive change in the lives of countless individuals and communities.
